RBI (Risk base Inspection)

It is a risk based approach to prioritizing and planning inspection used in engineering industries, and predominant in the oil and gas industries. This type of inspection planning analyses the probability and consequence of failure of an asset to calculate its risk of failure. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) planning, which is a method to identify the probability and consequence of component failure. By this systematic approach, the optimum inspection methods are determined and detailed inspection plans are furnished, based on these methods.

This ensures an inspection program, which is both focused on safety and at the same time cost efficient, and which targets inspection where and when it is needed. It carries out and manages a wide range of inspection work, both onshore and offshore, topsides and subsea. Also examine data and provide recommendations for further corrective or preventive actions.

RBI Benefits:

• Ensure risk is reduced to as low as reasonably practicable
• Optimize the inspection schedule
• Focus inspection effort onto the most critical areas
• Identify and use the most appropriate methods of inspection
